【Gifted Programme】 Silent Invaders: Battle for Biodiversity
Some of the most powerful learning experiences happen outside the classroom. This programme brings student members into authentic ecological environments where they investigate invasive alien species through fieldwork, expert guidance, and hands-on scientific inquiry. By observing ecosystems firsthand, participants gain a deeper understanding of the challenges invasive species pose to biodiversity and environmental management. In this featured experience, HKAGE student members took part in a night ecology exploration at Po Fu Lam Reservoir, discovering Hong Kong’s unique nocturnal environment and observing biodiversity from a new perspective. At the HKAGE, we believe experiential learning fosters curiosity, environmental awareness, and a sense of responsibility towards the natural world. Watch the video and discover how gifted learners turn observation into understanding and understanding into action for biodiversity conservation.

【Gifted Programme】Creative AI Robotic Arm for Inclusive Tech
How can technology improve lives and create a more inclusive future? In the “Creative AI Robotic Arm for Inclusive Tech” programme, HKAGE student members work collaboratively to design, test, and refine innovative solutions that address the needs of older adults. Through the application of artificial intelligence and robotics, participants transform ideas into practical prototypes with meaningful real-world impact. Throughout the development process, they strengthen their creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise while learning to view challenges through the perspective of end users. By combining innovation with empathy, they explore how technology can enhance quality of life and promote social inclusion. At the HKAGE, we believe the most meaningful innovations are driven by purpose, responsibility, and human-centred thinking. Watch the video to see how gifted learners are using technology to make a positive difference in the community.
