Introduction

The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) endeavours to secure appropriate learning and development opportunities for gifted students aged 10 to 18 currently studying in registered primary or secondary schools (AM/PM/WHOLE DAY) in Hong Kong.
HKAGE admits student members of appropriate ages mainly through the "School Nomination" and "Parent Nomination" schemes every school year.
The HKAGE enhanced the nomination scheme in the 2025/26 school year by introducing a new "Screening Test" for a more comprehensive and accurate selection of gifted students.

Arrangement for “Screening Test” Application

Briefing Session(1) (in Cantonese)

Introduce the HKAGE's programmes and services, and the methods used to identify gifted students.
Date & Time: 29 September 2026 (7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
Online application will begin at 9:00 a.m. on 10 September 2026 via this webpage. (First-come first served)
The briefing session will be conducted in Cantonese. The English PowerPoint will be uploaded to this webpage after the session for reference.

Briefing Session(2) (in Cantonese)

Introduce the details of applying for the “Screening Test”.
Date & Time: 17 November 2026 (7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.)
Details will be announced on this webpage in early November.
The briefing session will be conducted in Cantonese. The English PowerPoint will be uploaded to this webpage after the session for reference.

Parents apply the “Screening Test” for their children.
Application Period: 17 December 2026 (12:00 noon) to 6 January 2027 (12:00 noon)
Details will be uploaded to this webpage in due course for reference.

Students participate in the “Screening Test” between February 2027 and March 2027.

The nomination results are tentatively scheduled to be announced in early May 2027. School Coordinators and parents log in to the Online Nomination Platform to check the nomination results.
Parents of admitted students must register to confirm membership.
