Nurturing the Gifted Scheme

To enhance the nomination process, the Nurturing the Gifted Scheme* will incorporate additional competitions, scholarships, and award schemes, expanding the search for talented students. For students of suitable age who have demonstrated exceptional performance in significant competitions, scholarships, and award schemes in Hong Kong, HKAGE will directly obtain the list of eligible students from the respective organisers. Eligible students will then receive a formal invitation from HKAGE to submit their application for HKAGE student membership.

* Note: Students and parents cannot apply for nomination through the Nurturing the Gifted Scheme on their own. Applications under this scheme are by invitation only. If students are interested in becoming HKAGE student members, they may apply via the "Parent Nomination" channel.

Invitation for qualified competitions / scholarships / award schemes

To further enhance the NG Scheme, we are pleased to invite submissions from a broader range of competitions, scholarships, and award schemes. If you are interested in having your competition, scholarship, or award scheme considered for inclusion in the NG Scheme's list of recognised events, the HKAGE invites you to submit your application from September to May annually for evaluation. The criteria are as follows:

(1) Non-profit, territory-wide, or international competitions, scholarships, or award schemes 

(2) Have been established for at least 8 years, and

(3a) Are recognised for their prestige, with expert adjudication in the related field, OR

(3b) Recognise or award students who demonstrate exceptional talent or outstanding performance in specific domains, such as:

• STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics)
• Leadership
• Music and Arts
• Social Services
• Other Cultural Activities
