The HKAGE Welcomes New Members of the Board Joining Hands to Drive Gifted Education Forward
The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) today (November 27) announced that Mr TAI Lun, Paul will succeed Ir Prof LAM Hiu Fung, Alan, JP, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors (the Board), with the appointment of other four new members including Mr CHENG Ho Wai, Brian, Mr CHU Ka Tim, Ms WAN Shuk Fan, and Mr YIM Hong Cheuk, Foster for a 2-year term effective from November 28, 2025.
As the Regional Director of an enterprise group, Mr TAI Lun, Paul is a seasoned professional and entrepreneur in the industry, actively promoting the innovative development of the local industry. He is the recipient of the “Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong” and served as the President of the “Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council” for 2021/22, who has made remarkable contributions to the industry. Enthusiastic about education and public service, he is serving as a member of the Curriculum Development Council (CDC) and the CDC Standing Committee on STEAM Education of the Education Bureau (EDB).
Dr WONG Kam Yiu, Jimmy, the Executive Director of the HKAGE, welcomed the appointment of the new Board Chairman and members, “Mr TAI Lun, Paul and our new members are industry leaders with a strong commitment to the development of education in Hong Kong. I believe that their passion in supporting talent development, extensive experience and expertise will bring to the Board new visions and energy, which will help the HKAGE to develop strategies that are conducive to the development of gifted education.”
Apart from Ir Prof LAM Hiu Fung, Alan, JP, Dr CHU Kai Wing, Alex, Dr YUEN Tat Man, Sidney, Dr CHEUNG Wah Keung, Jacky and Dr YIP Chi Sio, Raymond will also retire from the Board. Dr WONG Kam Yiu, Jimmy expressed his heartfelt gratitude for their invaluable contributions to the HKAGE, “On behalf of the HKAGE, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our retiring Chairman and Board members for their invaluable guidance in the past years, which has been instrumental in shaping the steady growth and continuous development of the HKAGE. We wish them every success in future and look forward to their continued support to the HKAGE and the development of gifted education in Hong Kong in other capacities.”
The HKAGE, an organisation subvented by the EDB, was established in 2008. It offers gifted education services and appropriate learning opportunities to students of primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong to help unleash their potential. It also provides information related to gifted education to teachers, parents, and other relevant stakeholders.
