HKBU and HKAGE co-host “Pioneering Art-Tech for Mindful Moments: Student Public Showcase” to explore the connection between technology and emotions
Press Release Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) co-hosted the “Pioneering Art-Tech for Mindful Moments: Student Public Showcase” at HKBU’s Jockey Club Campus of Creativity on 24 October. The exhibition showcased the creative works of 41 gifted students from Secondary 1 to Secondary 4, including a series of experimental installations featuring interactive audio and sound design. The works explored the connections between creativity, technology and well-being.

HKAGE Showcases Gifted Students’ Learning Journeys at InnoCarnival 2026 Promoting “Technology for Good” Through Innovation and Creativity
Press Release The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) has been invited to participate in InnoCarnival 2026, organised by the Innovation and Technology Commission. Under the theme “Technology for Good, Innovation for All”, HKAGE will showcase the learning journeys of gifted students who have completed programmes on AI robotic arms, underwater archaeology, etc., demonstrating how technology can be harnessed to address societal needs.

【Gifted Programme】 Silent Invaders: Battle for Biodiversity
Academy Video Some of the most powerful learning experiences happen outside the classroom. This programme brings student members into authentic ecological environments where they investigate invasive alien species through fieldwork, expert guidance, and hands-on scientific inquiry. By observing ecosystems firsthand, participants gain a deeper understanding of the challenges invasive species pose to biodiversity and environmental management. In this featured experience, HKAGE student members took part in a night ecology exploration at Po Fu Lam Reservoir, discovering Hong Kong’s unique nocturnal environment and observing biodiversity from a new perspective. At the HKAGE, we believe experiential learning fosters curiosity, environmental awareness, and a sense of responsibility towards the natural world. The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) and Outdoor Wildlife Learning Hong Kong (OWLHK) formally signed a Collaboration Framework Agreement (CFA), further strengthening the partnership established between the two organisations. Over the years, HKAGE and OWLHK have collaborated to provide ecological conservation and outdoor learning programmes for HKAGE student members (members). Through learning experiences that integrate theory and practice, members are guided to explore nature, deepen their understanding of ecology and develop awareness of environmental issues.
