Gifted Education Fund: Off-school Advanced Learning Programmes (2025/26 School Year)
Programmes for secondary school students
The Gifted Education Fund has funded a total of eight "Off-school Advanced Learning Programmes" for application to student members of the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education, from Primary 4 to Secondary 5, in the current school year, of which five are secondary programmes.
The following programmes are open for application to Secondary 1 to 5 HKAGE student members on or before 12:00 noon, 18 March 2026. Before submitting an application, student should thoroughly read the: Points-to-note

2025-04 Target: S2 - S3
Nurturing Future Risk Managers and Actuaries: An AI-powered Journey for Gifted Secondary Students
Designed for gifted S2–3 students, this programme explores risk management, actuarial science, and data-driven decision-making through an AI-enhanced curriculum. Students build foundations in maths, stats, and finance, then advance to probability modelling, risk simulation, and insurance pricing. Using Microsoft Copilot, they engage in data visualisation, coding, and problem-solving via lectures, tutorials, and group projects. Guided by instructors and undergraduate mentors, they develop critical thinking, resilience, and teamwork—preparing for future STEAM studies and careers.

Culture Decoders: In-Depth Exploration of Hong Kong Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage
This programme inspires gifted secondary school students to explore Hong Kong’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage while developing research, critical thinking, and creative expression. Through lectures, seminars, workshops, field studies, and interactive projects, participants gain hands-on experience in historical research, oral history, and cultural interpretation. Students strengthen problem-solving in complex contexts, self-study, communication, creativity, and empathy through meaningful engagement with cultural heritage and its stakeholders helping them to build a solid foundation for future learning, research, and careers in related fields.

Generative AI and Cybersecurity (GenAIC) Engineering Skills for Gifted Students Education
This programme aims to equip gifted students with essential knowledge and skills in generative AI and cybersecurity, together with coding, system design, mathematics, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving. Through a balance of conceptual learning and practical training, students will be able to design secure and innovative applications that address real-world challenges and prepare them for the demands of a digital-first future.

Pioneering Art-Tech for Mindful Moments: Co-Creating Through Interactive Audio & Sound Design
The programme aims to empower gifted students to merge creativity, technology, and wellbeing through interactive audio and sound design. By equipping students with professional skills in music technology and fostering emotional growth, this programme nurtures personal development, community connection, and creative culture, culminating in a showcase that will celebrate art’s transformative impact.

2025-08 Target: S4 - S5
China Aerospace Education Programme
The programme aims to keep our students abreast of our country’s advanced development in aerospace engineering and industry, and inspire them to engage in aerospace-related further study. Through lectures, hands-on workshops, and a site visit, students get to learn about the theoretical knowledge as well as some practical engineering skills behind the development, construction and operations of rockets, satellite systems, Mars exploration projects, etc.
